Corporate Tree-Planting Day, Naivasha
A full-day planting event for a Nairobi company — 1,200 indigenous seedlings planted with a local school as site custodian.
The client wanted its annual CSR day to contribute to Kenya's national tree-growing agenda rather than produce a single afternoon of photos. We matched them with a partner site outside Naivasha where a local school had land, watering access and a reason to keep the trees alive.
Eighty-five staff planted 1,200 indigenous seedlings in one morning, with species chosen for the site's soil and rainfall. The school agreed a watering rota through the dry season; we returned for a survival check at ninety days.
The day closed with a lunch hosted by the community group — and the client left with a written report: species list, GPS-tagged site, survival methodology and photographs cleared for internal use.
